At the Old Swan we treat all our guests as individuals; we have a range of facilities catering for people of all abilities. We take equality legislation seriously and endeavour to provide all of our guests with the best possible experience.

Pre-arrival

Charlbury Station is 15 minutes away, a taxi service can be pre-booked when making a reservation.

Please inform reception when making a booking if you have accessibility needs.

Guide Dogs

Guide dogs and accredited assistance dogs are welcome throughout our hotel.

Car Parking & Arrival

The open air car park is large with good lighting and a sloped entrance. Disabled Persons Parking is available. 

Slate flooring in reception, two steps up to main entrance, with a ramp available should it be required. Assistance with luggage and car parking is available. Tours of the property can be arranged if guests require orientation. Golf buggy available for help with luggage and for guests with mobility issues.

If you are travelling by car, the hotel has a private car park on-site which is complimentary to our guests.

Bedrooms

6 bedrooms on ground floor, access to some rooms involves steps and guests should advise of any requirements for mobility assistance.

Bathrooms, Shower-rooms and Public Bathrooms

There are no special disabled facilities provided in bathrooms such as handrails. There is a disabled toilet in the Old Swan.

Reception & Halls

The reception rooms are a mixture of sofas and armchairs, low coffee tables, slate or stone floors and rugged in places.

Restaurant / Dining Room, Bar & Bar Area

Three steps in restaurant / bar area with ramps available on request. Level flooring in restaurant, wooden flooring, lit by wall lights. Special dietary requirements or allergies should be given at reservation.  

Grounds & Gardens

Wildflower meadows, gardens, river walk is signed but on uneven ground, seats, occasional picnic benches for fishermen.

Treatment Room(s)

Level access with low-level mood lighting.

Conference & Meeting Rooms
